Thanks to the excellent work of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) – a leading organization dedicated to protecting whales, dolphins and their habitats – we are always kept up to date about the exciting lives of our two protégés.
Experienced Uma has become a grandmother and now spends the winter in the Salish Sea surrounded by her family, where she finds plenty of Chinook salmon in waters between 7 and 9.8 °C. Her daughter Current recently had a calf, giving her six-year-old son Venture a sibling (congratulations sent!). Rumor has it that this addition to the family may have been inspired by the time Current spent with Simoom’s young daughter Rainy (4 years old) after her birth.
