What should an ORCA working student bring to the table?
Curiosity, curiosity, curiosity. And of course, openness, humor and a willingness to learn. In addition, you should be enrolled at a university and have the time and inclination to help us ORCAs out in the coming semesters! You have your bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication, political science or similar (almost) in the bag – now you are looking for exciting practical tasks in the socio-political field. Events with many guests appeal to you just as much as the solitude of the typing pool; comprehending complex, bureaucratic texts comes easily to you. You are used to working independently and in a structured manner and ideally have experience in correcting, proofreading and editing texts, for example through internships / freelance work at newspapers, initial professional experience in the field of press and public relations or similar. MS Office comes easily to you, you shine with your high sense of responsibility and quality as well as with your great interest in political current affairs. As a student assistant, you are a fully-fledged team member and can contribute your ideas – whether fresh from university or developed on your own – and implement them within our flat hierarchies.
We focus on needs-oriented work: Via app, you flexibly choose which space you want to use when in our office – whether desk, meeting room, library or conference room. What more? Oh yes, our English lessons! Once a week, if you like and want to speak fluently on an international level.
